David Nathaniel:20-year-old singer-songwriter David Nathaniel knew from an early age that he had a deep connection to music. Born in Detroit, Michigan to an Afro-Panamanian father and an African-American mother, his upbringing exposed him to a rich tapestry of musical influences, igniting his passion for singing. At age 12, he began specialized vocal training in musical theater and went on to perform in musicals in his hometown during his high school years. The internet played a pivotal role in David's musical exploration, introducing him to online bedroom-pop artists, all of whom inspired his love for songwriting. With self-taught guitar skills acquired through online tutorials, he built a growing portfolio of original compositions from middle school through high school.
