The performance, "Birth", is the cross-discipline collaboration between Olga "Olya" Kisseleva, electronic ambient music/vocals, Fotini Christophillis, painting performance, and Alejandro Gonzalez, audio-reactive video. It is the first part of a trilogy series centered around birth and the struggle and challenges involved with breaking old ties and asserting a new identity. The audio-reactive video is also a digital response to the painting performance that becomes a dance in relationship to the music. Each performer creates and improvises individual works that intertwine to become a cohesive whole.
