Brought to you by AR App Hoverly, and apparel brand Badass & Brainy; Kevin on Earth, a hip hop artist who defining the future of music through his latest Augmented Reality Music Video, is coming to the Lilypad Thursday March 22nd. Alongside electronic music producer Positions, the two plan on bringing live music and forward thinking to the Cambridge community.

Musician, entrepreneur, and innovator; Kevin on Earth is the creative outlet for American/Brazilian artist and Berklee Alumni Kevin Clark. Mentored by internationally acclaimed saxophonist Tia Fuller and named one of Boston’s Top 25 Under 25 by the Improper Bostonian; While the musical setting brings Jazz and Hip Hop together for a sound everyone can enjoy, Kevin on Earth conveys a message of overcoming obstacles, living in the moment, and celebrating the love in our life.

Having directed a range of ensembles from Jazz Big Bands, to Beyonce’s live band; Clark has a firm mastery on arrangement and orchestration solidified through his double major in Jazz Composition and Film Scoring from the prestigious Berklee College of Music. In 2016 Clark was granted his first patent adapting motion control technology to musical expression, and continues to develop the system named Point Motion as Founder & CEO.

Bandleader of notable Jazz and Hip Hop projects such as “English Tom in the Bookstore” and “NuMind”, Clark is now focused on releasing his own solo material to fully express his journey and perception of the world around him through a combination of music and technology.

Jesse Ruggio aka Positions is a 25 year old producer and student at Berklee College of Music. With nearly two decades of piano and composition training, Positions offers a much needed, refreshing take on electronic music. From hip hop to classical to house, everything he produces showcases the immense creative talent he possesses. Fully composed and orchestrated parts masquerading as sampled material are a hallmark of his work. While he has released no material under this moniker, Jesse Ruggio has produced music for multiple signed artists including Berklee alum Zoya Mohan. This fall, Jesse will be graduating from Berklee with a degree in Electronic Production and Design - with the hope of pushing the boundaries of modern electronic music.
