Little is know of the secretive order of the Thoracian Monks, though hazy images scattered about the darker regions of the Akashic Records show them looking on solemnly at Ragnarök as their patron, having felled the Great Serpent, took his final nine steps. They are rumored to have possession of his mighty hammer which they guard vigilantly as they await his foretold return from Valhalla, when he will once more wield it marking the dawn of a New Golden Age. In a rare (and belated) appearance on the Material Plane, the Thoracian Monks will engage in ecstatic revelries mourning their long separation from their Master and celebrating his inevitable return.
