Polish-Colombian Stash Wyslouch is an avant-garde bluegrass guitarist. Stash’s music dances between wild originals and re-imaginations of bluegrass standards with a penchant for improvisation, story-telling, gospel and outer-space worthy composition. He’s released 3 albums of original music with his own group, The Stash Band, that’s been described by the Boston Herald as a “Sonic Kaleidoscopic of Weirdness and Wonder.”
Somerville songwriter John O’Brien songs are snapshots of what he sees as the complexity of the human spirit: love, compassion, forgiveness redemption, joy, humor, mortality. He released his first album of original songs, Cornfed Cadillac, in 2017. It was called, “a bubbling brew of country meets folk, with a delicious seasoning of bluegrass.” His single “57 Fairlane”, released in 2018 a…” tribute to cars that could lay down a firey streak of rear wheel furry that would take you and your date to the drive-in”. Bassist/vocalist Brittany Karlson is an adventurous musician with roots in jazz, American old time music, and improvised music. She has performed across the USA, Canada, and Europe in a variety of ensemble settings. Karlson performs original songs under the moniker Karl, with debut album Feast Day released on Lungbasket recordings in 2015 and upcoming album, And the Green Grass Grows all Around anticipated in 2019. She also has a solo project involving puppeteering behind the bass.
The leader of the dynamic international band, Meridian 71, percussionist Giuseppe Paradiso graduated from Berklee College of Music in Boston, and from the Italian conservatory of music “N. Piccinni” in Bari, where he studied piano and composition. His collaborations include Grammy-Award winner Arto Tuncboyaciyan, guitarist pioneer David Fiuczinsky, jazz trumpeter Phil Grenadier, Italian artists Mario Rosini, Vince Abbracciante, Daniele Sepe, Orchestra Sinfonica della provincia di Bari, amongst many others. He co-founded the IN MOMENTUM concert series at Outpost 186 in Cambridge. His original music can be heard on his first album, Otherness Collection, and on his newest work, Metropolitan Sketches, which will be released under the Italian record label DODICILUNE.
