To celebrate his graduation Thor is bringing together some of his favorite players in town. With the beautiful blend of steel and harp in forefront they will perform tunes ranging from Thor’s originals to Jazz standards to old Country tunes.
Thorleifur Davidsson is an Icelandic harmonica player that was drawn to the diatonic harmonica through the blues-tradition but soon discovered that it was possible to play all genres on the instrument. Through his constant search for improvement he has developed a unique sound on the blues harp. From an early age, he’s been prominent in the Icelandic and Norwegian music scene and has through the years performed with Victor Wooten, Bob Margolin, Bob Stroger and John Primer (Muddy Waters’ Band), Knut Reiersrud, Ethan Jodziewicz, Mugison, Georg Riedel, and many more. This May, Thor is graduating from Berklee College of Music after 3 years of studying on a full scholarship. Along with his studies he has been touring the world with Kaleo, a Grammy nominated rock band.
