Join Boston-based guitarists R.D. King and Scott Card for a wide-ranging night of extraordinary instrumental acoustic guitar. King and Card will perform solo sets as well as joining forces to create evocative, virtuosic music.
R.D. King
R.D. King is an award-winning composer and performer of instrumental acoustic guitar music, blending guitar pyrotechnics with cinematic and evocative music. A Candyrat Records artist, King is a TEDx Cambridge performer, winner of the 2017 Canadian Guitar Festivals International Fingerstyle Guitar Competition, and winner of the 2018 Walnut Valley Festival NewSong Showcase. Scott Card
There is a common truth in all music, and Scott Card is finding that thread. Combining the raw, visceral expressive power of jazz with the conceptual precision of classical music, along with the relatable idioms of folk and pop, Scott is finding his own musical voice that has been described by his audiences as incredible, intense, and the real thing. Scott now lives in the Boston area, attempting to combine these many disparate influences into a cohesive sound that speaks to our most fundamental selves. His solo EP Dessin is available online.
