TA3 is a rapper, trombonist, and songwriter. Born in Trenton and raised in Lumberton, New Jersey, TA3 has been writing and lyrics and performing for a decade. He started rapping in 5th grade when his dad and brother installed a home studio. In the same year, his elementary music teacher introduced him to the trombone. He has stuck with the two ever since.
In his formative years TA3 was a member of several bands including his high school's concert band, wind ensemble, jazz ensemble, and marching band. TA3 also participated in the All South Jersey Symphonic Band, All South Jersey Orchestra, and Western Burlington County Honors Band.
TA3's musical journey went on to lead him to Berklee College of Music. There he enjoyed playing under the tutelage of jazz giants Ralph Peterson and Tia Fuller. While enjoying a semester at Berklee's Valencia campus, TA3 won a residency at St. Patrick’s Bar and joined the Bridge The Gap Collective to play on New York Artist, Koncept's studio rendition of his song "Tomorrow".
TA3 believes in music’s transformative power. His main purpose is to inspire people to be their best. He actively uses music as a platform to dismantle harmful stereotypes and prejudices. Whether he’s captivating his audience with his trombone, or mesmerizing the crowd with his riveting raps, one thing can be said about TA3: each and every performance he delivers is sure to be impactful.
