The Jenny Herzog Trio plays with the relationship between jazz and tap dance. Drawing from a rich history of integration between the two forms, Herzog sings and taps, trades between voice and feet, and uses tap dance as a percussive instrument within the trio. Jenny Herzog, Jacob Hiser (piano), and James Dale (bass) explores the range of possible repertoire for a jazz trio, drawing from original compositions and standards, to musical theatre and classical repertoire. This event will feature original tunes by all members of the trio, along with some tap improvisation, choreography, Great American Songbook, and some opera!
