Peter Bufano, best known for his original scores for circuses, will perform a solo set of original music. Bufano uses a hybrid of acoustic and electronic instruments centered around the accordion. His quirky instrumentals, all composed and named for specific circus acts, blend various genres. His repertoire spans his 25 year career and holds a mirror to Klezmer, early Jazz, disco, and the Nino Rota scores for Fellini's Films.
Peter Bufano, best known for his original scores for circuses, launched his career performing with Ringling Brothers and Barnum and Bailey Circus as a clown. His quirky instrumentals can be heard on TV, Film, Theater, and in Circus Bigtops around the world. Bufano was the 2018 Newbury Comics Fellow at Berklee College of music for his work in Circus Scoring. He's an assistant professor at the Screen Scoring Department at Berklee. Bufano is a graduate of Ringling Bros. and Barnum and Bailey Clown College, Berklee College of Music, and the NYU ASCAP Film Scoring Workshop.
