Riley LePere is an up and coming saxophonist, composer, and producer currently active in the Boston area. Hailing from the tiny town of Westminster, South Carolina, he started playing alto sax at the age of 14, and finally moved to tenor at 18. After graduating from the South Carolina Governor’s School for the arts and humanities, he began a degree in Business Law at Western Carolina University. However, LePere found himself skipping homework to attend local jam sessions and soon became disillusioned with academia, transferring to the Berklee College of Music. Fascinated by the intersection of modern music technology and the sounds of great saxophonists before him, LePere combines an extensive collection of electronic effects and his signature smoky sound to make his unique compositions shine in a fresh and exciting way. He released his Debut EP, A Single Breath, earlier this year, available for listening on every modern streaming platform.
