Indian Classical music has been evolving as an art form for thousands of years. With its intricate systems of melody and rhythm, it is meant not only as a form of entertainment, but also a means of meditation and reflection for both musician and listener. Join us for an intimate recital of evening ragas on sitar with tabla accompaniment.

Jason Marino

Jason Marino spent the first part of his musical career as a guitarist before encountering Indian Classical music while living in the sacred city of Varanasi, India. Drawn to the meditative and improvisational nature of the music, he began studying sitar under Pt. Rabindra Narayan Goswami in 2016. Jason returns to India yearly to continue his training and now performs at various venues and functions in the Boston area and abroad.

Rajesh Pai

Rajesh Pai began learning the tabla in Udupi, India at the age of eight. He had his formal training for over ten years and has continued playing for decades since. He has accompanied many artists in classical, light classical, and fusion concerts with western music. Rajesh has also been an active teacher in New England and is regularly featured in events local to Boston and the surrounding areas.
