Led by Craig Jackson, a multi-instrumentalist/composer whose passion for activism drives his creativity, Seventh Sun is a genre blending ensemble based in Boston, MA. Performing idioms of Jazz, R&B, Blues and Hiphop, repertoire includes well known and original compositions.
A 4-7 piece ensemble, the group is filled out by an explosive array of additional members nightly. To date, Craig and Seventh Sun have collaborated with and featured Tia Fuller, Rodney Ruckus, Frank Lacy, and the Curtis Brothers in Shifu’s Apprentice - A Tribute to Ralph Peterson Jr., and performed with Lew Tabackin, Smokey Robinson, George Delancey and others. Seventh Sun has toured the East Coast, Midwest, and Southern regions of the U.S. The release of the band's debut album is set for later this year.
