Bob Nieske mentored under Jimmy Giuffre as bassist and composer in Giuffre’s quartet for 12 years.  His compositions are challenging, accessible and melodic.  Some musicians he has recorded or performed with are Alan Dawson, Dave Grisman, Stephane Grappelli, George Russell, Jay Geils, Attila Zoller, Dakota Stayton, John Blake,  Jackie and Roy, Richie Cole, and Larry Coryell. Faculty at Brandeis University and New England Conservatory.
