A powerful group of girls for a powerful night of music. You'll hear everything from raw singer/songwriters to upbeat pop to the new age of indie-rock.
Kayla Phillips
Kayla Phillips has spent her entire life in love with music. Though she didn't come from a musically charged city, she has been heavily involved in the growing the Indianapolis scene. Inspired by lyrically centered artists like Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift and Stevie Nicks, Kayla has found her unique niche in the folk-pop world for people who love to feel --the good and the bad-- as deeply as she does.
RobinAugust
Born and raised in Nashville TN, RobinAugust has spent the majority of her life funneling her personal experiences into art. Her aggressively raw lyrics and passion-driven melodies place her at the perfect intersection of indie-pop and alternative rock.
Released during her freshman year at Berklee School of Music, Avocado Head blends RobinAugust's appreciation for '90s-era female icons- including Alannis Morissette, Sheryl Crow, and Fiona Apple - with the psychedelic crunch of acts like Pink Floyd, Radiohead, and the Beatles. It's an album for the modern world, inspired by enduring sounds of the past. For RobinAugust, the record also serves as a form of therapy, allowing her to channel the pain of a recent breakup into songs that are hard-hitting, heartbroken, and melodic. "It's basically my diary as an album," she says.
Bella Sciortino
Bella Sciortino is a 19 year old singer songwriter and currently a student at Berklee College of Music. Bella is from Red Bank, New Jersey, and derives a lot of her influences from artists like Brandi Carlile, SZA, and her peers at Berklee. Bella is thrilled to open for Kayla Phillips and RobinAugust.
