March is Women´s Month, and from that place of reflection, we gather to share diverse music, our own. Three projects, of three South American musicians, each one sharing part of her art: songwriters, composition, jazz, improvisation.
We celebrate diversity and embrace differences as a powerful path.

Tatiana Castro Mejia
Interested in the field of sound and process of improvisation. Carries out a constant search to expand her listening in order to dive into this territory. The word begins to be part of this game, its meaning, but also its value as sound. Her professional artistic life started in Bogota, but she developed it intensively in Buenos Aires where she lived for 16 years, until 2021. Today, she has moved to Boston, in this new territory she hopes to continue developing her artistic and pedagogical work.

Ale Gómez
Ale Gómez is a trumpet player from Uruguay, South America. She has been playing trumpet since her early 20s and also plays guitar and percussion. She has been immersed in Uruguayan traditional music called Candombe, first as a dancer and then as a drummer.
As a musician, Alejandra is looking to be able to transmit a message configured within each listener and to make it happen, improvisation has been her main engine. Alejandra is interested in exploring the connection between different languages, rhythms, and traditions, searching for her voice. She constantly seeks to produce sound images that generate questing effects in the one listening.
Bianca Cabil
Argentinian multi-instrumentalist and producer, Bianca Cabili is a music and event maker that encompasses original music productions, collaborations with other artists, and events that foster community building. Currently based between Boston, MA, and Buenos Aires, Argentina, Bianca Cabili's productions are received by audiences who are seeking artistic content that talks about strong political, non-partisan, youth-appealing topics. Through the mixture of Latin American folklore, Tango, House/Techno, and Jazz genres, with themes about identity, nature, the environment, and the building of a more caring society, Bianca Cabili’s music is able to get actual and urgent messages across. Cabili brings her artistry, commitment to activism, and experience as a musician, producer, community builder, and leader to her work. Bianca Cabili produces recordings, performances, and other community-building events like debates, song circles, interdisciplinary jams, and artistic/musical activism gatherings. Actually, Bianca Cabili’s first EP is in the making. This project includes 7 songs, music videos, and a touring live show that includes collaboration with local businesses and artists. All the songs talk about the environmental crisis and the urgent need for action while retrieving and honoring Latin American musical roots, plus a mixture of electronic music.
