Sho Humphries:
World Champion ukulele player, child YouTube prodigy, and recipient of a full scholarship to the Berklee College of Music—at 19 years old, Sho Humphries has a lot going for them. What's their mission? To play the ukulele in a way that has never been done before while spreading smiles and infectious melodies in their wake. They started their ukulele journey as a die-hard Jake Shimabukuro fan, going from there to post their own takes on popular songs on YouTube, then to release their first album of original ukulele music in 2017. With their 2021 EP Dream Again, they took their first step into the realm of vocals and lyricism—a journey they continue while also trying to play today a little better than they did yesterday. Along the way, Sho intends to share all the things they enjoy about the instrument to every ukulele player that wishes to learn! Catfish in the Sky:
Ear grabbing. That’s what this band of four friends from Berklee School of Music is doing with their music. The eclectic mix of ukulele, cello, fiddle, and cajon weaves groove and soul into old time, bluegrass, Celtic, and original songs, and tunes. As Nana Pat says, “These kids are going to be famous. I just know it.” https://catfishinthesky.com/https://www.instagram.com/catfishinthesky/
I.You.She:
With comparisons to Jessie Reyez & Olivia Rodrigo, Aayushi Kumar (I.You.She) is a Boston-based alt pop musician whose lyricism exposes the existential dread one experiences in daily life & how to get through it. Her stories are told through the lens of an Indian-American immigrant, often discussing the pressures she’s faced growing up as well as her relationship with her family. Working alongside producer Jake Crocker (Dempsey Hope & Sam Lachow), she has most recently released her third single, ‘Dear Life’ - a song about the realization of time passing and failed attempts of trying to hang on to it. I.You.She’s vocals and lyrics are similar to those of Willow Smith while her music also brings to mind Fletcher’s pop elements, Remi Wolf’s funkiness, and Miley Cyrus’ most recent rock sound. She’s had great opportunities to perform as a soloist at Carnegie Hall, for TedxEvents, non-profits & house shows within the underground scene. https://www.instagram.com/iyoushemusic/https://open.spotify.com/artist/69BR2YvkKSBHWsRVFM4cfj?si=ymzwoOCXQCC2rJPjj84icwhttp://Iyoushemusic.com
