The Lost Melody is a jazz trio comprised of pianist Joe Davidian, winner of the 2019 Jacksonville Jazz Piano Competition, bassist Jamie Ousley & drummer Austin McMahon. Each composers in their own right, they come together to present a collection of new melodies, jazz standards and selections from the Bill Evans songbook.
The trio has been touring internationally since 2000 presenting concerts and giving masterclasses in places such as Ireland, Germany and Italy with a forthcoming tour of Japan. Stateside, they have since performed at numerous jazz festivals, universities, and top NYC jazz clubs, including Dizzy’s Club Coca-Cola, Mezzrow, and Kitano, and have held an annual residency at the Nashville Jazz Workshop since 2008, where they recorded two of their four albums: Live at the Jazz Cave: Vol. 1 (2013) & Vol. 2 (2017).
