New York’s Josh Sinton and Chicago’s Jeb Bishop make a tour stop featuring their exciting new duo project. Don’t miss the chance to hear these virtuosos performing high caliber improvised music, full of sonic surprise! Sinton & Bishop first worked together in Europe in 2015, in the Spinifex Maximus project led by Tobias Klein. They began working as a duo not long after that, first with improvised sets in NYC, and later incorporating compositions by themselves and others and performing in NYC and Chicago. The current duo tour is an extension of this project and a chance to get recorded documentation for release. Josh and Jeb have both performed far and wide with some of the best improvising musicians, including Anthony Braxton, Peter Brötzmann, Ken Vandermark, and Mary Halvorson.
