Pianist and Composer Srisley (Yae Seul Kim) was born and raised in South Korea, immersed in a musical environment shaped by her family. Making her debut at age 11 with Chopin's Fantasie Impromptu, she embarked on a remarkable journey. Inspired by Michel Camilo, she pursued jazz piano, earning a Master's degree in Music Performance. Her scholarly dedication was showcased in her thesis on Afro-Cuban piano performance. In 2020, she released her first album, "Srisley Trio: 30," and collaborated with renowned figures like Yoon Han. Winning Berklee College of Music World Tour Full Scholarship for Jazz Piano in 2022, she relocated to Boston and released her second album, "Moi J'attends." In 2023, she performed at Berklee's Oliver Colvin Hall and debuted her compositions at the Berklee Summer in the City series. Notably, she led various ensembles, including the Srisley septet and quintet. Her diverse collaborations continued, culminating in performances at the David Friend Recital Hall and selection as a composer for Berklee's Career Jam. With a blend of traditional and contemporary influences, Srisley's distinctive style ensures a legacy of musical excellence.
