NATALIE WILSON Natalie Wilson is a 24 year old student/singer/songwriter living in New York City. While completing her master’s program in Music Business from NYU she has released her debut studio EP to showcase a unique musical personality. “Track Season” was released on May 26th, 2023 and went viral on TikTok just two weeks later thanks to a post deeming “Something To You” the underrated song of the day. From this, Natalie has accrued an almost immediate fan base. Her “underrated song of the day” was streamed over half a million times in its first 3 months of release. “Track Season” was conceived after Natalie’s senior capstone project in songwriting captured the attention of Skidmore College Career Development Center. The board and its donors subsequently granted Natalie funding for the recording, mixing and mastering for her debut release. Using Skidmore’s Grossman Recording Studio and whatever instrument she needed from the iconic Zankel Music Center “Track Season” was born.
The EP’s title is a double entendre referring to both the famous eight-week schedule of the Saratoga Race Track and the period during which the album was recorded. Miles Campbell from Atwood Magazine reviewed “Track Season” in September of 2023, writing “surprises are abundant throughout the EP, including epic key changes, crunchy rockstar-esque guitar solos and even a Saratoga Springs trumpet calling to dawn the collection of tracks... it is a dynamic mix of sound and technique.” Natalie is currently playing shows around New York City, as well as finishing up her debut LP to be released in the Summer of 2024.
