Kirtan is the ancient Yogic tradition of call-and-response chanting. Through the practice of Kirtan, the heart is opened, the mind stilled and we feel connected to others around us! The community experience of joining our voices in repetition of divine names invokes the peace and joy which helps to connect us to our true nature. Kirtan also helps to lower cortisol and release endorphins, activating the para-sympathetic nervous system which is our body’s “rest and digest” mode.
