Hereboy’s first hometown show since their label signing and debut single release via HAPPEN TWICE. Welcomed by familiar friends in Tiberius and Intac.
Indie Rock
Tiberius
For the last 5 years, Brendan Wright has spent a hell of a lot of time realizing their passion project Tiberius, recording and performing in basements, warehouses, bedrooms, and from time to time, in their car. Cacophonous and catchy, Wright’s recordings blend indie punk, alt country and psychedelia. While conversational, yet confessional songwriting may not be a style particularly new across the modern DIYsphere’ - Wright hopes their efforts to be genuine.
Intac
Intac is a family business from Somerville, MA dedicated to creating world class audio content. After years working tirelessly as a songwriter and musician, creative director Billy Restivo decided to leave the art world once and for all in pursuit of more practical dreams: finance, marketing, and digital media. Thus Intac was born from an obsession with audio technology and a passion for customer satisfaction.
Hereboy
When Sarah Gyurina first began writing songs on her bedroom floor, she had little faith that others would relate to, let alone want to listen to, her confessions, obsessions, and hurt. After Meeting bass guitarist Jon Wallis at a comedy show , was the push Gyurina needed to aim higher and trust her voice. Gyurina’s songwriting found a sonic home nestled between Wallis’s melodic bass lines and larger-than-life, fuzzed-out tones. The two cofounded Hereboy, a band that drew crowds in the Boston underground circuit for their catchy hooks, big sound, and disarming vulnerability. In the fall of 2023, drummer Ona Griffin rounded out Hereboy’s three-piece lineup, providing a tight foundation for the group to begin recording their debut EP. Hereboy has played at Somerville’s iconic Crystal Ballroom, at Nice! A fest. Their live performance of “moonblue” was listed in WBUR’s 2023 Top 21 Tiny Desk submissions from Massachusetts.
