An afternoon of gloriously global diaspora rock! Each band has aunique vision of cultural fusion: Boston's Awaaz Do serves up postcolonial rock and roll, featuring the sounds of South Asia from Bollywood to qawwali. Philadelphia's Interminable is a diasporic space fusion project which brings together the afromestizo rhythms of son jarocho from Veracruz, Mexico, with that of jazz, rock, and electronic music. ¡Aparato! is a chicanxfuturist son jarocho/punk band from LA, dressed like space-charrosand ready to rock. All bands sing in both their native languages and in English.
