Lina Cooper is an award winning, LA-based artist, songwriter, and producer/multi-instrumentalist from Donetsk, Ukraine. Known for her prolific writing and fascinating artistic vision & stage presence, Lina has received praise from Spotify, Buzz Music, Grimy Goods, Shoutout LA, Confessional Magazine and many more. Her sound ranges from delicate indie-folk with heart-wrenching lyrics to lush pop-rock bangers inspired by musical legends like Taylor Swift, Halsey, Lorde, ABBA, Queen, Maggie Rogers, and Phoebe Bridgers.
Lina began showing interest in music at the age of 8, so she started taking classical guitar classes while writing songs as a hobby. At the age of 17, Lina began her studies at Berklee college of music double-majoring in Contemporary Writing & Production and Songwriting with a minor in Orchestral Conducting.
Lina signed her first one-song publishing deal in 2020 after getting discovered by Spotify’s editorial playlist ‘Fresh Finds’. She moved to LA the same year and began her professional artistic and songwriting career. Since then she has gained tens of thousands of listeners on Spotify, many editorial placements, sync cuts in TV shows (the biggest one being a Hulu hit “Everything’s Trash”) and independent feature & short films, as well as playing legendary venues all around LA opening and headlining showcases. She has also started writing songs for many other talented artists like Rian Cult, Nikitaa, Jessica Reilly, Anastasia, XNK, and many others. All that led her to signing her first record deal with Ninetone Records in 2023.
