Clamb
CLAMB was born out of a Dadaist desire to create music free from societal norms of perfection. They dig deep into the groove of soulful American music from the infinite James Brown and Alice Coltrane to the aether of seventies European krautrock pioneers like Cluster and Harmonia to patiently sketch foreign landscapes from the ground up. Clamb are devoted to keeping an attitude of acceptance and exploration in their largely-improvised songs, choosing a direction and exploring its corners and nuances to tell stories without words.
Cam GIlmour
Cam Gilmour is an artist from Middletown Springs, VT, on tour in support of an audio-visual project called Of Air. Intended to convey the feeling of being transported to another world, Of Air is a photo book & an experimental jazz album made in parallel. The book offers dream-like images and screen prints of rural Vermont, punctuated by philosophical journal entries on creation, living cameras, and allusions to other worlds, while the album is a cohesive & diverse offering of instrumental motifs, ambient textures, and improvisation. Cam's music is performed as a quartet, composed of saxophones, double bass, electric piano, trumpet, flugelhorn, drums, and wind chimes.
