PGT formed in Boston in 2021 and they have been gigging around New England ever since, continuously evolving their sound with elements of Post Bop, Cool Jazz, and Modal music. The band leader, Peyton, is currently writing and recording their first album at the Berklee studios in Boston. Their style is guided by improvisation from all three members of the Trio, with inspiration from Bill Evans, Vince Guaraldi, and Jaco Pastorius. The members of the Trio recognize that the driving force behind Jazz is passion and emotion. They utilize these elements through their improvisation and new harmonic arrangements, to revive the classic sound of Jazz through their own youthful, contemporary perspective.
